Hello — I’m Rafal.
Coach, guide, facilitator, mentor, supervisor — and the heart behind The Impermanent Human.
I’ve never been particularly good at fitting neatly into boxes.
I’m a Master Certified Coach, grief practitioner and death doula. I’m Polish-born, have lived in several countries, moved to Galicia, and somehow ended up combining executive coaching with grief, dying and the strange business of being human.
I’m vegan. I have tattoos and earrings. I love classical music and kickboxing. I’ve trained in palliative care and psychedelic approaches. I’m gay. I spend a lot of time in nature and remain slightly in awe of how amazing it is. My family history is as complex and interesting as a good film — and there’s even a book about it. And I’m probably a little weirder than your average coach.
I like it that way. It took me more than 45 years to accept myself, so I’m enjoying it.
Neither does grief. Neither do people. Neither do the transitions that change us.
That’s why my work sits at the intersection of coaching, grief, loss, identity, meaning and impermanence.
And yes, I have the credentials as well!
Experience & Accreditations
I am a Master Certified Coach (MCC) with the International Coaching Federation (ICF), as well as an EMCC Senior Practitioner and Accredited Coach Supervisor.
Over the past two decades, I have coached leaders, executives, teams, and coaches across a wide range of industries and cultures. My clients have included organisations such as LinkedIn, NVIDIA, HSBC, AstraZeneca, Starbucks, UBS, Unilever, Yves Saint Laurent, BBC, Deloitte, Google, Coinbase, Mars, Twitch, and Novartis, among others.
Alongside executive coaching, I have designed and delivered leadership development programmes, facilitated workshops, and trained, mentored, and supervised coaches internationally.
My work blends evidence-based practice with real human experience—creating space for honest conversations, thoughtful reflection, and meaningful, lasting change.
